About the Aquarius Institute
The Aquarius Institute is a vocational institution specializing in providing training for individuals looking to become Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, Ultrasound Sonography Technicians, and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). We are located in Des Plaines Illinois, and serve the Chicagoland area in the allied healthcare training field.
History of our Operations
The Aquarius Institute was founded in 1996 in Chicago, Illinois in the field of computer science and software development. Around the next few years after the inception of the company, The Aquarius Institute decided to switch its focus to educational based service, providing clients with information technology and computer technical training. The Aquarius Institute saw tremendous growth in this field, and demand was growing for training in IT and technology development certification. As a result, The Aquarius Institute expanded its operations to become one of the leading providers of IT and technology based training in the Chicagoland area.
Due to numerous factors that culminated around 2003-2005, The Aquarius Institute saw less prospects for local growth in the IT and technology sector as a result of a large amount of these jobs being outsourced during this time. We recognized that we needed to provide more relevant programs with high prospects in job growth for the Chicagoland area.
Therefore, in the year of 2005, Aquarius Institute took a tangent and started to provide more service related skills training in the Allied Medical Health Care field. Healthcare service jobs have skyrocketed in Illinois, particularly in the Chicagoland area due to a large aging populace and local healthcare development that has taken the industry by storm. There are more jobs in the healthcare field now than ever as hospitals and medical centers continue to grow in size and operations, and healthcare technology continues to evolve, surprisingly creating more jobs than removing them.
Currently, Aquarius Institute provides training in the fields of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound Sonography, and Nursing. We take pride in our programs, and that is why we make sure that students are ready in all aspects of their career - from the skills needed to land the job, to skills needed to do the job.
As a result of Aquarius Institute’s consistent efforts in providing high demand job skills training, we have several thousands of our graduates currently employed in the American work force in the fields of Information Technology and Health Care with an annual income of $50K - $125k
